you can't expect OS vendors to support ancient hardware forever That's funny, because that's pretty much what I've been experiencing with Ubuntu during the last decade. Not only do I really OWN my hardware and get to decide WHEN and IF I want to spend money for a new machine or not, but the hardware support gets even more complete with every passing month. To sum it up, time is on YOUR side, not on some company's side.
