Hiring is hard. You're trying to meet someone, and evaluate them in a short period of time. I get it. Multiply that by many candidates and... I care way more about personality than technical skill. Technical chops need to be adequate for sure, but anything above that is just a bonus. If you hire the right personality, adequate tech chops is just a temporary problem.
