Suddenly, Apple's CloudKit doesn't seem so unattractive - but at the same time I fear it will face a similar fate. Anyone have any insight about whether it's "safe" to build upon? Is there yet an Android solution for connecting to their REST API?
- hamming 11y agoAFAIK, the new Photos app in iOS and OS X are built on CloudKit. So I assume it will only die when iOS dies, which could be another decade or so.
- WoodenChair 11y agoWell, that's not much reassurance because they stopped publicly selling/supporting WebObjects long before they stopped using it themselves.
- schwarrrtz 11y agoPretty sure they still use WebObjects for iTunesConnect (at least).
- giarc 11y agoWow - the dashboard looks close to Parse's new dashboard. https://developer.apple.com/icloud/images/cloudkit-dashboard.png https://developer.apple.com/icloud/images/cloudkit-dashboard...
