NASA had a plan in the early 70s to have humans on the surface of Mars by 1990. When Nixon canceled the Apollo and Saturn five missions, all that early planning went into the trashbin.
- Kinnard 11y agoHmmm, sounds like it was riding on government funding and not on the profit motive that doesn't speak to any technical encumbrances . . . I'd bet on the profit motive.
