The massive and rapid dissemination of knowledge the internet has provided will produce vast and unknowable changes over the next several generations. I believe it may be ultimately a considerably larger change than the industrial revolution. Knowledge changes everything. (Of course then there's Facebook so maybe I'm being overly optimistic.
