We will make it to Mars within the Century.

- Kinnard 11y agoReally? This century like within the succeeding hundred years or that century like the 20th Century? I'd be curious to learn more.
- bradneuberg 11y agoNASA had a plan in the early 70s to have humans on the surface of Mars by 1990. When Nixon canceled the Apollo and Saturn five missions, all that early planning went into the trashbin.
- Kinnard 11y agoHmmm, sounds like it was riding on government funding and not on the profit motive that doesn't speak to any technical encumbrances . . . I'd bet on the profit motive.
