There are lots of interesting questions in an effective basic income system. Sybil and fraud resistance come to mind immediately. If I were in the top 0.01% of wealth, I'd really like to see research into basic income. It would help with deflationary spirals, social order in an automated future and increase the supply of good ideas because it would free more people to explore high risk areas.
