I read the book he mentions in the video last year. Its also my favourite business book of all time too. So easy to read and truly an eye-opener.
Trying to implement in my own business now.
- vermontdevil 17y agoWhat's the book he mentioned? The video is not subtitled or captioned so I couldn't watch it at all. Thanks

- krmmalik 17y ago"The Art of Profitability" by Adrian Slywotzky
- sivers 17y agoMost of the talk is very directly from the book "The Art of Profitability" by Adrian Slywotzky. Notes here: http://sivers.org/book/ArtOfProfitability http://sivers.org/book/ArtOfProfitability Very highly recommended reading.
- krmmalik 17y agoIs the first example from the book "Influence: The power of persuasion" ?
- sivers 17y agoYep! Another must-read classic: http://sivers.org/book/Influence http://sivers.org/book/Influence
- nickstamas 17y agoYep, it is. Great anecdote from an awesome book.
- icey 17y agoI've read quite a few books from your recommended reading list and to be honest, it would have saved me a ton of time to just read your reviews. It seems like the reviews cover most (or all) of the important content from the books. (Which is great!)
- sivers 17y agoEh... It only seems that way in hindsight. AFTER you've read the book, you can read cliffnotes/highlights like this, and it brings back the memories of what you learned when you read the book. But if you try to just read the notes for a book you haven't read yet, I think you'll find the lessons don't really stick without all the supporting stories. (Imagine skipping all the world's great stories, and just reading a list of "the moral of the story is..." for each book. None would stick.)
- dualogy 17y agoOne of my favourite "micro books" on business. Very awesome.
