In my opinion, this is a scary section to read regarding Heroku and the way they are handling SSL traffic. They are essentially asking for clients to predict 2x spikes 48 hours ahead of time, otherwise you will see performance degradation. Am I misunderstanding this? Does anyone have more knowledge on this? We are paying a premium to even deliver SSL traffic on Heroku, and now we need to predict traffic spikes as little as 2x to maintain decent response times?
