- macintux 11y agoApple continues to insist, and most long-time observers agree, that a merge is not forthcoming. The future is always in flux, so never say never, but it's not going to happen soon. Apple prefers to make devices with more focus, more hard decisions about what to support and what not to support.
- mercer 11y agoI think Apple will do what they usually do: wait until they come up with a solution, or until the industry proves that a particular solution works. Microsoft is making interesting progress, but 'unified' devices that are good enough still seem to be far enough in the future that Apple won't bother.
