Years back, I was standing near my wall mount heater on a cold morning, and the heat was running up my back, around my neck and ears. A minute later my ear wax completely melted and dripped out of my ears. I don't have the heater anymore but found I can replicate the effect using a hair dryer on low speed/high heat.
