I never said they want to kill it off or implied anything like that. I stated the obvious that they are trying to make it less accessible to get ad blockers because it is in their interest.
You claim that they are trying to promote less popular extensions, which you have no way to know because they just started removing the most used popular list from the front page _today_.
Unless you work for Google, or had any conversation from anyone from Google regarding this in the last 24 hours, how can you claim such a thing?
- aboodman 17y agoI work for Google, on Google Chrome extensions. The change to the gallery was actually made awhile ago, and discussed here: http://groups.google.com/a/chromium.org/group/chromium-extensions/browse_thread/thread/e8064192990c8f9e http://groups.google.com/a/chromium.org/group/chromium-exten... mmastrac is correct. We always wanted the front page to work this way, we just didn't get to it in time for ship day. The idea is to spread the wealth a bit on the front page. Otherwise the lead the frontrunners have becomes difficult to challenge.
- pavs 17y agoThanks for clearing this up. I just noticed the change from today too. BTW, I am a big fan of GreaseMonkey and I really appreciate your work on it and thanks for porting it to Chrome. :)
