I might be missing something, but how is downloading over HTTP via Tor more secure than downloading over HTTP otherwise?
- DrScump 11y agoI have the same question (by "secure", my meaning is "intact, without tampering"). I don't see a need for secrecy that I'm downloading an innocent Linux package or other public ISO.
- liotier 11y agoDisclosing which packages you download might tell an attacker something about your configuration. Of course, the tradeoff with download throughput might not be valuable for most users.
