Slightly OT, but I quite appreciated Deep Work. Been following Newport for many years now. His last two books have been quite interesting.
- mbrock 11y agoI quite appreciated it too. Just got back to work after a long vacation and I've been doing some deep working, more or less, although not in a tower out in the forest. But I like the audacity of the book, or something like that: like it encourages me to really try for serious sustained effort. Reminds me a little of that talk "You and your research".
