Probably not for you, but if you were a single parent with two jobs trying to get two kids to the bus each morning, packing a lunch would be a lot more difficult.* Especially to make a lunch healthy. * to be clear, I am not that person. Just saying.

Why would anyone need two jobs? shouldn't one pay a living wage? Maybe the problems run deeper

  Definitely deeper. The U.S. worker has seen 35 years of wage stagnation. Economic growth is fairly restricted to those with college degrees. And those aren't free.
