I think many are missing the point here: AI can just be very stupid and still wipe everything out. It only takes some sort of irreversible minimisation function to let machines destroy all at sight. Drones are the first step, then comes IoT, what else? We fully depend on machine learning just now. So no wonder many are scared even before machines becoming human-intelligent.
