- diezge 11y agoSurprised I didn't see my personal favourite mentioned - the unlimited free private repos!
- minimaxir 11y agoTo be fair, GitHub has to make money. None of the complaints are about the GitHub business model, which is IMO pretty fair.
- diezge 11y agoTrue, I guess with Atlassian it's different as their actual flagship product is Jira (and I assume the people who buy the paid-for BB packages are loyal to BB due to things like the free repos so it evens itself out).
- hobarrera 11y agoGitLab offers pretty much the same as GitHub and is free (as in FLOSS). Their hosted version also offers free unlimited private repositories.
- fidget 11y agoGithub kills Bitbucket with this one feature: uptime
- polysaturate 11y ago...and speed in my experience. Both the web UI and push/pull.
- earlz 11y agoI just wish that bitbucket's UI was half as smooth as Github. Sure, it's not terrible, but it has a lot of rough edges.
- msbarnett 11y agoI'm completely comfortable calling BitBucket's UI/UX terrible.
- 33degrees 11y agoNot just bitbucket, but most of Atlassian's products, IMO. We switched from Slack to Hipchat at work recently, and the rough edges constantly irritate me.
- msbarnett 11y agoDefinitely. I'm convinced any actual usage of Jira must happen purely by accident, given its incomprehensible User Experience.
- danielsamuels 11y agoI've used Bitbucket for years and I've never seen "multiple assignees for an issue" as something which is available. I've just looked at a couple of our (private) repositories and I still can't see how you would do it. Either that feature doesn't exist or it's used in an extremely obscure manner.
