It might look strange but it would at least look like the original user crafted the entire message at once. I think the appearance of 'desperation' arises in the reader's head because it looks like the author was hoping to receive a reply after each sentence (even if they weren't). i.e. when received as several messages it looks like Hello. Are you there? Why are you ignoring me? Why is everyone ignoring me? I have no life? Waaaaaah?
