It's true people might want something in the future that would require faster processing (I doubt VR is going to be in high demand). But that is talking about a hypothetical future; not the present. Currently, a 5 year old computer can easily meet most demands. Today several times as many people that have ever bought a computer are buying smartphones. Yet they are less powerful.
