    In this case the bug was only for a small subset of the Firefox users (Firefox without x264 support). It doesn't seems impossible to me they missed this specific case.

    Actually for me since about two week the full screen mode in html5 with Safari is quite buggy too. So yeah maybe on this specific realease during holyday season they might have test a little more on different platforms and/or delay this patch.
