- todayiamme 11y agoI am not saying that the model isn't useful - I am saying that it isn't universally applicable. We have so many deep evolutionary drives that we re-program to our ends all the time. Contraception is a great example of this, as are people trying to get over PTSD, eating disorders, and so on. So, yeah, sure the model explains quite a bit and explains why we find certain things attractive, but it says nothing whatsoever about why certain people marry each other - which is what the question is.
