So where are the 128 bit addressable CPUs?

  We don’t even have full 64-bit currently, actually current processors (Haswell series, for example) use only 48-bit for memory.

    Modern CPUs have 64-bit word and virtual address sizes, so by normal definitions they are 64-bit. The physical address range is not the metric here. Besides, it would make no sense to have a 64-bit physical address bus. There aren't enough atoms in the universe to make memory to fill it.

      Indeed it makes no sense to have a 64-bit physical bus, but the parent was asking why we don’t have 128-bit yet on consumer devices.

        Same answer. It's all CPUs, bus width, and address space. Consumer devices are not special.

          Yes, I’m just saying: Before we look towards 128-bit devices, we should look towards 64-bit devices first.
