For me, the biggest problem of Evernote is it lacks some critical modern note taking features such as Markdown, LaTeX and syntax highlighting. Its edit functions have been primitive for many years. If Evernote supports the above features in the Premium account, I would be very glad to pay and upgrade. Now, my only reason to upgrade to Evernote Plus is for 1 GB sync quota. Other features such as PDF edit or offline access are just useless. I like Evernote but I do hope Evernote can put more strength on their essence, i.e., note taking functions.
