Yes to #2. I desperately need a new Android and want a close-to-stock experience. My choices are the 5.2" Nexus 5X or the 5.7" Moto X Pure. Both of which are WAYYY too big. So yes this will skew stats towards larger screens, but it should not be construed as the will of the consumer. Just idiots in marketing trying to out stat each other.
