  I've lost memories of most or even entire gigs I've been to before because I drank too much. The next morning I'll wake up and remember getting to the gig, buying a drink and watching the band's opening track or two then everything is just a blur of images. At that point you realise you're wasting your money if you can't even remember seeing the thing you paid for.
