Jewish-Arab Love Story Excluded from Israeli Classrooms
- DrScump 11y agoThis headline and title shows the New York Times' bias very succinctly. Look at that title: "excluded from Israeli Classrooms", as if it was banned to read, or even possess. The fact of the matter then leaks out in the opening line: "(The M.E.) has decided not to include a novel about a romance between an Israeli woman and a Palestinian man on the list of required reading for Hebrew high school literature classes. So, all that happened is that the book won't be assigned as required reading in Hebrew literature (!) class. Does the title resemble the truth of the story? In contrast, is this book even allowed, let alone assigned, in schools on the Palestinian side of the border?
