Personal or not, our entire company is devoted to making Trails the best damn backend framework for node. We don't distract ourselves with VC-funded side projects, and we don't have a automated bot that closes everyone's issues (see: SailsBot).
Our company lives off consulting around the open-source tools we build and support. That's it.

IMO, I wouldn't think a YC backed + VC funded company would be a side project. - duhruh 11y agoI'm not saying it's a bad thing man i understand the situation in fact i'm pretty excited to see what Trails has to offer, I was even hoping to make waterlock trails compatible or work on something for Trails. I'm just saying it's important to keep these things upfront, i commend you and your company for taking on this task and like you said before (somewhere i forget) it's refreshing to be transparent about the motivations and issues at hand.
