I peeked into the GitHub repository and I haven't seen anything that seems to confirm that this code is part of AmigaOS 4.0. There might be confusion because of the directories named v40 and v42 but this would be the internal version number of the OS. 40 would be 3.1 and 42 would be an unreleased internal version. IIRC 44 was again released as 3.5 but contained only Workbench changes (so you could just update your system by using the newer libraries).
