Unfortunately the proposal doesn't solve one of the main problems with the mobile web: Battery usage. It doesn't matter if you run all that extraneous js on background threads. It still uses power.
- ehsanu1 11y agoIt can be an energy win if the background threads allow work to be completed much faster. That's because finishing earlier will allow CPUs to throttle down as soon as the work is done, thus cutting power usage.
