I think the 'fair trade' aspects are important and should be universal. I'd also like to see equal concern for 'fair trade' for consumers, who shouldn't have to accept being spied upon. I've spent months trying to find a reasonably simple way to have a smartphone where I have end-user control over my data and communications, and it seems impossible (without building my own phone or OS). I know many people don't care; that's fine for them, but I should have the option.
