Invocation of Orwell... check. Piss Christ... check. US-centrism... check. "Western culture"... check. Well that's a pretty standard Decline of Civilization article there. Well done! There are issues with modern art and sophomorism, yes; essentially, the big problem with art is artists, and the way they learn to spew bullshit about their production. There are also big problems with architecture, which is really a τέχνη, and not really an art in the fine arts sense; big architecture spends a lot of time on arty one-upmanship and not enough on the practical matters that make a building work and last.
