I think that if canvas and SVG gain some momentum, then authoring tools will follow. The biggest trouble is getting the momentum though.

- est 17y agoI am thinking the opposite. If HTML5 can draw the attention of more non-programming crowd, like gamers, artists, stylists, etc. it might have a shot. Currently the HTML5 canvas is just, well, a plain canvas.
