Almost every one of these criticisms I have seen of "self-driving cars" posit world situations that don't happen under the current regime despite nothing limiting them. Why is this a problem unique to self-driving cars? Is it that it "won't" runover the counterparty? Have you ever even considered the idea of running over a thief? I suspect our legal infrastructure would not look kindly upon you in most jurisdictions.
