He seems like a good person to get into business with. He's so non-judgmental. Reminds me of myself and all the stupid things I said to VCs in my 20s.
- ragnarok451 11y agoAren't judgmental people the best kind of people to get into business with? At least as long as they can judge people/situations accurately. Because that implies that they will make better decisions for your company w.r.t hiring initial people and choosing strategies
- analyst74 11y agoBeing able to assess people is completely different from being judgmental. The former is a result of experience and social intelligence; the latter is mix of bad attitude and superiority complex.

- javajosh 11y agoI'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt and say that this is a comment on how smart people often accept stifling constraints on their thought and actions "because that's how it's done." It is my belief that this self-driving car project is really a kind of first for Hotz. He's famous for finding and exploiting the error-modes in what other people built; now he's actually building something. Methinks he's about to learn a lot about himself and the nature of the world. He's clearly extremely smart, so I'm actually rather excited for him!
