Why would you have an automated motorway? Why not have rail instead and get a self driving cab from the terminal to your final destination. Self driving cars make more sense for short distances.
- clock_tower 11y agoRailroads are better than self-driving cars for most purposes -- more efficient, safer, simpler to maintain, and _much_ less complicated to create -- but the US apparently doesn't have the political will to build new ones anymore. It reminds me of the failed attempt to upgrade the air-traffic control system back in the '80s and '90s...
