Bhopal Disaster happened because of Union Carbide(wholly owned subsidiary of Dow chemicals)
- cschmidt 11y agoJust to be clear, Dow bought out the remnants of Union Carbide, after they died post-Bhophal. It didn't happen as part of Dow. Dow is extremely safety conscious, and the inexcusable things Union Carbide did would never have happened in a Dow plant.
- calvinbhai 11y agoNot denying this. Probably the lawyers ensured there exists no culpability on the buyer, for UC's past sins. But, Dow, and now DuPont morally owe a lot, to the Bhopal Gas Disaster victims.
