More paywalls: Hulu monthly fees & YouTube rentals
- Goronmon 17y agoFirst thought: I think it would be great if Hulu offered expanded offerings for a monthly price while keeping the current service free. Second thought: As much as Netflix is great, the library available for streaming still is very sparse when it comes to movies, and even televisions shows Hulu has a lot of shows Hulu doesn't.
- tomjen2 17y agoIt seems like an obvious choice for such services, but there is a big difference between a service being good enough since it is free and being good enough to pay for (if you have to pay there are a lot more alternatives than if you get it for free). Itunes is good enough to pay for, but I can't imagine I am going to want to see an entire movie in flash quality on youtube and pay for it. I will much rather pay for the DVD and get it in a good to great quality.
