Are "symmetric multithreading" and "simultaneous multithreading" the same thing?
- ars 17y agoSymmetric multithreading is not a term I know. You probably mean symmetric multiprocessing, which means more cores or CPUs. Simultaneous multithreading is what intel calls hyperthreading.
- wmf 17y ago"symmetric multithreading" isn't even a real term; it's just a mistake in the article.
