I tried to add 1 to the first byte of a file, 2 to the second, 3 to the third... and see how it effect the compression rate.
On a small text file that could normally be compressed by 71% the modified file only got 16%.
- rasz_pl 11y agoNow try it other way around. Compress with 7zip first, then XOR with known randomness and try compressing again. There is a random number generator X out there for data Y that will let you produce low entropy this way.
