Hey All!
My current side project is a aggregator for email newsletters.
I set up a few cool things on the back end. When I get a email, I parse out all the email newsletter proxied urls and replace it with the actual link. then I do a OG graph check for title and description info and save it via a /link page.
Each newsletter is self-sustaining once it gets running
I have a little more than 100 emails set up Its about 30 emails sent a day. I just did a major clean up of the pages that were importing partial data, and now am making the entire emails visible per "email" page I do some parsing of the content and try to strip out the unsubscribe/user preference links. Its hard because its dumb text matching and replacing.
I have some email content keyword analysis, using some basic NLP algorithm. That generates keywords based on the email content, then I use those keywords to recommend other emails. Still a lot more to go and everything is pretty raw, but I wanted to share!
