Also, more broadly, when you see a "sweeping end run around the taxation system", it may be instructive to consider why everyone else doesn't just do the same. Legal tax avoidance techniques are not secrets.

And you can afford the initial time for a lawyer to set this all up. Average people are using Turbo Tax for yearly taxes and relying on common law to handle their estate, because that's all they can afford.
