I totally disagree. Jerk developer is always a jerk developer. Something more ... I think jerk developers are bad persons. Those are the racists guys/girls, the hotshots, the abusing coworkers people. The problem is in them ... It's not in the OP. There is no reason for anyone in this world to tell somebody is wrong in a non-polite way . Period. If you wanna "get back to them" you already failed. The best way that you can solve this is to find a place that doesn't allow people like this to be involved in the business.
