I feel a lot of the same things. But, on the bright side: 1. It's early days yet -- let's give them some time to work out the bugs and build out more diverse platform support. 2. The code is open source. If we (or anybody else) gets motivated enough, we can add support for other browsers or build a "real" standalone app.
