- wed210 11y agoAssuming AGW is the cause--did the islanders not also benefit from the worldwide consumption of fossil fuels: supplies delivered by ship, manufacturing of the supplies themselves, worldwide communications built by an energy intensive civilization, medication and learning fostered by this development? I would pay my share to relocate them, and throw in a 'Sorry about the sea level rise' gift basket, but not anything to maintain a life there.
