A brother-and-law and his wife retired some years ago, and now spend several months every year RVing. He mentioned a book popular among RVers called _The Next Exit_. (When first mentioned to him by an RVer who was a good deal older, he thought it dealt with end-of-life issues; it doesn't.) You might find it useful.
