Living 365 days a year in a mobile home (caravan) in the UK is illegal, because the occupier must be registered to pay council tax in a local authority, for which caravans do not apply.
Perhaps this is why the UK is floundering in the technology/start-up field?

And, I'm not sure if tech startups, in general, require the ability to move from city to city. I do think it'll become a lot more common, though, amongst startup founders, now that Internet has become so close to pervasive. Most of the YC founders I know are already extremely mobile, and generally travel a lot more than the folks I know in other fields (except touring musicians, perhaps). It also remains to be seen whether I can be productive as a tech startup guy while traveling. I suspect it'll work out fine, but there are plenty of variables in the year ahead.
