As a side note. How does flagging work? If one comes across such a comment and you've clearly already seen it is it worth vouching for the flag? As in does that contribute towards the comment being flagkilled?
- simoncion 11y agoI'm not exactly sure what you're asking, but: IIRC, the general rule is to flag it if you think it should be flagged.
- JupiterMoon 11y agoIf a post is already flagged then one has the option to "vouch" for the flag. I'm asking if dang (who is a moderator) has clearly already seen the offending post if other posters vouching for the flag contributes towards a flagkill or if dang would have already done that if he deemed it worth doing.
- Nullabillity 11y agoVouching does the opposite: you vouch for that the post shouldn't be flagged.
- JupiterMoon 11y agoThank you! Cue frantic scramble to unvouch a couple of posts that I should have flagged!
- DanBC 11y agoJust to check: "If I see a bad post, but dang has also already seen it (because he's replied to it) should I then flag the post? Or by that time should I just leave it alone?" Is that what you're asking?
- JupiterMoon 11y agoYep. Will further flagging contribute towards a flagkill of the post.
- dang 11y agoYes, it will. And vouching contributes in the opposite direction, so please don't vouch for bad comments.
- JupiterMoon 11y agoThanks. I've actually gone back through my history and tried to find and correct all the one's I had in error vouched rather than flagged...
- dang 11y agoYour account had actually lost vouching rights because of those, which I'll take as a data point that something is functioning correctly. It's all fixed now though.

- dang 11y agoWe released it a couple months ago. So far it has worked out great!
