Curious for an anecdotal opinion, but what would say is the general opinion on demoting the royals to the commons (along with the rest of the aristocracy theatre), and setting up as a proper republic?
- elthran 11y agoFrom where I see it, there's a whole range of the spectrum in the population - from the die hard monarchists and republicans, with the the majority of people being fairly apathetic either way. I feel that, given not much power lies with the monarchy, and we'd likely just replace it with an elected head of state, which would be just as costly - why bother?
