If I were in charge of project priorities at Mozilla I would make that same decision all day long. The potential user impact for capturing even a small percentage of iOS users would dwarf the total number of Ubuntu Phone users. I'm not saying I would be against working on an app for Ubuntu Phone, but if resources were constrained and I had to make a choice, it would be an easy decision for me.
