Why was this "a new kind" of credit union? It seems like it was an ordinary credit union that briefly toyed with the idea of BitCoin.
- galuvian 11y agoThe article doesn't go into much detail, but since they wanted to 'help non-profit workers and the poor' my guess is that they wanted to offer loans to high risk people and the regulators said "NOPE!"
